New Day = New Island

After resting up for another day, we are feeling much, much better. Railay was a nice place, but after being there for a few days, we were ready to get moving. That's the great thing about all these islands; you can just keep on moving once you get bored!

We took a boat to Phi Phi this morning. A  short long-tail boat ride, followed by a 1,5 hour trip on a ferry boat. Conventient and only 400 baht per person (74,5kr/$12,16).

Phi Phi is nice, but very touristy and busy. The beaches and walking streets are packed with people. We were told that you should book a room in advance because it is high season here, but we had no trouble finding a room. Prices go way up during high season, so (being the budget travelers that we are) we opted for two beds in a 16 person dorm for 300 baht per bed (55,90kr/$9,12). Here is where we'll be sleeping tonight:
May not be the coziest place in the world, but we met some other interesting people and the showers were pretty nice.

After getting settled (i.e. throwing our backpacks on the bed and making sure we had all our valuables), we headed to the beach. Lovely to be back in the sun! After soaking up some sun, we got a pedicure for the amazing price of 150 baht (28kr/$4,56).

Stumbled upon a hike to the Phi Phi View Point, and ventured up there. Took about 20 minutes. Great view!
Haven't done much shopping while in Thailand, so today we went all out: a new dress and a waterproof bag to keep valuables in (we figured we'd need one for kayaking etc later). We contemplated getting these lovely t-shirts, but we decided not to.

Love,
Suzy
